Library & Documentation |
| The Institute has its central library at Cochin and 12 sectoral libraries at the regional and research centres. The library has a good collection of books, journals, thesis, reports etc. on fisheries and allied subjects. Currently 86 foreign (2 in CDROM format) and 38 Indian journals are subscribed. The library also receives 190 titles on exchange/ complimentary basis. The total collection is about 60,000 volumes. |
| The services offered by the library are circulation, inter-library loan, reference service and current awareness service, newspaper clipping service, on-line information retrieved at reprography series. The users include staff and students of the Institute and from other research organizations. |
